First of all there is the Golden Enclosure "Coricancha", the Temple of the Sun which is covered with gold and inside there are the beautiful golden statues of animals and plants and flowers. The temple is open from 10.00 - 17.00 and evenings from 20.00 - 23.00.
Saturdays and sundays there is the market, on the main square, next to the palace of Sapa Inca, the large building on the north west side of the city. On the same square there is the start of the llamarace on saturday the 19th and when everyone is away, this place will be filled with tables and seats for the open air banquet later that day.
There are several tours leaving from the city. From the main square, turn to you left, take the first turn to your right and walking past the gardens of the Aclla wasi - WARNING: Do not linger and do not stare at the beautifull young ladies that may be present in the garden, Sapa Inca might change his mind - about six houses further you will see a tall red building... this is the starting point for the tours in and around Cusco.
