The quality of openess is found forever present in the unconfined realms of the Musashi Plain. The serene beauty of Musashi Plain was first mentioned in the poetry of the Heian period (794-1185). It is known for it's great extent, unusual in the mountainous country of Japan and, over time, Musashi Kyuryo Shinrin National Park became synonymous with the aesthetic of mono no aware, 'the poignancy of things.' Today, it retains its importance as a place of beauty to gather. As introductions are all important, we name this thread in appreciation of the transient beauty of the Musashi Plain and we, the Four Masters, bid you a warm welome.
