CATARACTA CURIATHE UPPER BALCONY
As you begin your descent towards the Lower Balcony, you hear the thundering of the Velinus hurtling itself into the Nar in the distance. Closer to hand, you hear a lighter sound, almost like small bells. It is the sound of a miniature waterfall, to your left. The ager Reatinus has many underground springs such as this one that burst unexpectedly out of the ground. |

The winding path brings you to a precipice from which you have your first glimpse of the Cataracta. Further on you will reach an observation platform furnished with tables and benches, enclosed with an iron lattice-work grill. This is the first section of the waterfall. Below is a wide ridge or shelf which will form a departure for a second and wider waterfall.

onward, spring will fall; still heard behind fast water one butterfly calls
Waterfall, by lordfuznut.
