Reate’s ass and mule market is located at the town’s east gate, also know as the Hercules Gate. Stalls, stables, and stockades are available for livestock owners, stockmen, and equipment dealers to exhibit to buyers. The market is open for the sale of jennies, jackasses, and mules, as well as carts, wagons, yokes, blankets, saddle-bags and related items. General markets are held on the fourth day before the Nones and the fifth day after the Ides of each month, or the first day after in cases of nefasti on those dates. From Aprilis to October, markets are also held on the fourth day before the Ides and the fifth day before the Kalends.

If you would like to rent space in the market, please leave a message for the patron of the Collegium Asinarii at the domus of M. Fabius Furius. Collegia of other trades may also reserve space to serve their members at the market.
