Summer in Hell: Flames Scour Hellas
NASA images compiled by Johnnydc from Wikipedia
This summer, Hellas experienced over 3,000 forest fires spread between Peloponesse, Attica, Euboea, and throughout the Aegean, resulting in a total of 74 deaths as of 31 August. Fires reached and inflicted some damage upon the ruins and museums of ancient Olympia. A combination of drought and arson has made it a summer of desolation and destruction for those affected, and the nation as a whole.

A New Hood Arrives in Asia Minor
One of the Seven Wonders of the World has been brought to the Hellas hoods by
Demetrios Xanthippos, who recently completed the new addition of
Halicarnassus. Home to poets, warrior queens, the father of history, and the Mausoleum, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, this new polis is now open for business in Greek Asia Minor. The city is divided into four districts: Zephyrion, the Greek heart of the down; Salmacis, the ancient Carian city; Mausoleion, the bustling new city built by Mausolus; and the harbor district, where Greeks and Carians meet and trade, and where the goods of east and west are traded. Come for a visit, come for a chat, come to stay. Hellas thanks Demetrios for taking the time to create this interesting new addition to Hellas!
