Decennalia in Celtia

They teach many things to the noblest of the race.

So wrote Pomponius Mela in the first century AD. He of course was speaking of druids who also took on the role of historians among the ancient Celts. But the same can be said of the wonderful folks interviewed by Jacques Elliott Cruithni. Its hard to believe that its been 10 years for Ancient Sites/Ancient Worlds and a little over 9 years for Tara/Celtia. What a long strange trip its been.

Maria Marius, Cornelius Cornelius, Heraklia Aelius, Fenian Niafer, Moss Dubhdara Niall, WinterMist Manach, Flidais Niafer, Brandubh Niall, Ladee Niall, and Fedelm Cruithne took us down on the merry trip through the past. As Ladee noted, even though life has often taken us elsewhere, AS/AW really has been an important part of our life. Brandubh Niall used the writing experience he gained from AS to write two short stories which were published in anthology compilations. But I think it was Flidais and Fenian who best illustrated the impact AS/AW has had on all of us as they truly met their match at AS.

I encourage everyone, Celt or otherwise, to remember the past at AWX The Decennalia. Without knowing our past, we can never truly know ourselves or understand our future. Thanks to Jacques and his guests, the history of Tara/Celtia is now set down and as permanent as anything can be in cyberspace.
