The Daffodil Edition

Welcome to the fourth issue of Volume VI of the ACTA DIURNA! This edition continues the tradition begun by Julilla Sempronius in December 1997, when she published a single page Saturnalia edition of ACTA. Julilla was later joined by other demis, who edited the paper on an occasional basis until the end of AncientSites in March, 2002. Later that year, at AncientWorlds, Maximius Flavius picked up the torch and turned the ACTA into a regular monthly publication for all cives. Julilla later returned to the editorial helm until June 2004, when Laurels Curius took over the primary editorship.

Now after almost ten years of publication, we are reorganizing how the paper is brought to you. Starting with the next issue, to be published in June, a small non-refundable fee will be charged for each ACTA. That is, you will be able to purchase the newspaper using site currency, which will come out of the cashbox at your home. By implementing this change we hope to help develop a "banking and exchange" system for AW users, and to offer our hard-working editors site cash as payment for their articles - since we can't give them an all-expenses-paid trip to the Greek Islands.
