Fiesta Chocolate 2006 - Home

Welcome!
For many millennia, humans have been fascinated with the delectable phenomenon called chocolate. It has been used not only as food and drink, but also to flaunt wealth, to pay debts, to show love, and to worship the gods.

Take our chocolate tour to get the story behind this tasty treat discovered 2,000 years ago in the tropical rainforests of the Americas. See how the ancient Maya used chocolate nearly 1,500 years ago, or how the Aztec civilization valued cacao seeds so highly that they were used as money. Here you'll also find some delicious recipes and fun trivia about chocolate. Enjoy!
