Come along with me for a whirlwind tour of the fastest growing neighborhoods in Celtia
Come along with me for a whirlwind tour of the fastest growing neighborhoods in Celtia!

Our first stop is Caer Uisc Dyfneint to visit with the local Cean Mor Bridgette Cormac. No settlers here yet, but Bridgette's Isca Inn in the West Country has become very popular since it hosted the Wild Ride for Samhain. Drop in for some warm hospitality on these long Celtic winter nights! You may just decide to settle down and become a permanent resident.

Having fortified ourselves with some of Bridgette's fine traditional fare, we're ready to venture on to Pictland.

MeetGartan Cruithni, the proud Chieftain of Cean Tir, which is otherwise known as "Gartan's Stronghold". This lively seaside village is home to Ruadri the metalsmith, Gorma the skywatcher, and the wandering warrior of the elite Cleite Gorm - Cinaedh Bear-Slayer. Rumors whisper that Cean Tir is the hiding place for some of the sidhe but you'll have to visit and find out for yourself. Be sure to stop by the Mull of Cean Tir Pub and sample the special Silver Branch buffet. Not to be missed!

The neighboring district of Dunadd district is overseen by Ceannmor Kendal Caledonii, recently famous as host of the Boollywood Gala during Celtia's Goldfest. Don't leave Dunadd without touring Tristyn Cruithni's Distillery where you will soon be able to take a trip through the world of drink! If that's too much for you, there's a quiet place on the banks of the Add at the Green Grove of Una MacRoth where you can share words, songs and music and discover your inner Sidhe Queen. Also in Dunadd, you'll find the Bothan of the newlyweds, Conall and Briar Mac Roich - but please do not disturb!

Northward from Dunadd isThe Isle of Skye, territory of Ceannmor Scathach Cruithni and her War School where the mythical heroes of Celtia receive their training. Explore the settlement of Dunscaith and you'll meet some of the best-known as well as the most shadowy personae of Celtia.

The good times are always rollin' up on Kaimes Hill under the fun-loving stewardship of Bard's Ballad Inn not only offers some fine tunes but will take you back in time with some favorite games from the past - and I don't mean Fidchell! Kaimes Hill also offers a glimpse into the ancient history of Hadrian's Wall through the residences of Titus Longinus. Don't leave without visiting the friendlyForge of Oengus Cruithni and his wife Ceana's Weavery. The newest building on Kaimes Hill, however, will top off your Kaimes Hill experience - The Tower of Kallistos Alexandros. See if you can solve its mystery!

Drokka Caledonii is CeanMor of Knockfarrel and proprietor of Thistle's Top Cafe which offers rare imported teas along with the traditional oatcakes. After a generous helping of Drokka's hospitality and a look at the breathtaking scenery of Knockfarrel, you'll never want to leave - and you don't have to! There are plenty of prime properties still available in this Pictland paradise for interested buyers.

Moving across the waters to Eire, our first stop is Cruachu - Royal Seat of Connacht where you'll be greeted by the elvin Holly MacRoth as CeanMor. If you are a friend of Alti Cormac, you are welcome at The Cave of the Druidess. There are still lots of good spots for more residents to settle down in this magical district.

Cnoc Áine in Munster is under the stewardship of one of Celtia's brightest rising stars, Nessa Silures. The CeanMor herself will welcome you at her home in theGort na mBláth (Field of Flowers) before you make your pilgrimage to the Sacred Hill of Alti Cormac, the Sidhe Mound where Caoimhe Manach resides, and end your mystical tour at Ladee Niall's cozyHome for Retired Bards (An Bothar Fada).

If you enjoy roleplay in the style of the ancient Celts, join the cast of characters that inhabit the two realms of Meath.

Inver Colpa is one of the oldest ongoing roleplay serials in Ancient Worlds, with Flidais Niafer as CeanMor. Meet some of the members of Clan Niafer in this district, visit their homes and read some of their stories! Perhaps you'd like to add your own tale to the ever-unfolding saga.

Just over the hills from Inver Colpa you will find Tara and yours truly, Fenian Niafer as the district's Cean Mor. At my dun, An Teannáil you'll find the Tara Fair & Marketplace open to all craftspeople, traders and visitors. Tara also offers her hospitality in the form of Yet Another Irish Pub with an upstairs loft for poetry, music and storytelling. Other notable homes in Tara include the Royal Rath ofGood King Cormachimself, Alti Cormac's Faery Dun,The Mystic Hut of Aveleen Ordovices, and the Feathered Nest of Ruis Niafer.

Dun Seannachaidh in the Leinster district is home to the Children of Fionn and under the stewardship of Cean Fine Eoghain Cumhaill. The favorite place to meet and greet Clan Cumhaill is at the Elphin Inn owned and operated by the most famous hostess in Celtia, the enchantingKatlyne MacRoth.

That wraps up our highlight tour of Celtia's 'hoods - but there is much more to explore! There are many more districts with rapidly developing populations, such as Ebrauc, home of the Brigantes in Llogres. A diversity of richly historical lands awaits creative settlers. Look around, find your favorite spot and make yourself at home in the Ancient World of Celtia!
