Wanshang hao. Konnichiwa. Namaste.
Many things happened since the last Orient ACTA, in May. We apologize for not having a July issue, but both Aria and I were either terribly busy or absent at the time. Hopefully, we are going to catch up with all the good news in this one and also have a look at the future with the Orient's plans for Goldfest.
The Hoods are open!
As everybody already knows, our neighborhoods have finally opened for people to move in, so don't hesitate! Jot flipped the switch last Monday, September 4th (Labor Day in the US) and since then anyone can live in Edo or in Malaka City; patrons can even own several houses in different parts of the ancient world
Due to the size and very characteristics of the Orient, not all the cities have districts where properties can be bought, yet. This may take quite some to complete but if anyone really wants to live in a given city and district, please do leave a message to one of your local scribes. We would be more than glad to help you settle happily anywhere in the Orient.

Goldfest Festival
This year, celebrations start the October 20, and end eight days later with Celtia closing the festival with Samhain. Each world will have a specific day to hold its own events - the Orient was attributed the 24th. You can read some of the ideas that are already being discussed in the Orient Festival Planning.
Our celebrations will take place in the city of Edo - Japan, where we will try to recreate a little of the japanese daily life as it was at the time of the shoguns. One of the main features will be little shops (or big, if you feel like it!) where people can "sell", or expose whatever they want. They don't have to be all japanese and if you live in Rome, you can perfectly open a shop of roman pottery, for instance. This event is for fun and we are not intending to be historically accurate, so think of this as an AW Universal Exposition of some sort. Anyone who would be interested to open a shop or any other kind of establishement, contact one of the scribes of the Orient or post something in the Orient Festival Planning.
