Springfest Past
It's hard to imagine that we've celebrated so many Springfests over the past five years, but for those with a historical nose, take a look at prior festivals. There's been a wealth of talent and celebration!
So while you're waiting for the party to begin, take a look back at all the hard work, silliness, and fun of past years.
Springfest Present
As usual, there’s so much going on that we'll leave it to the primary worlds in this month's ACTA to catch you up on their festival plans. However, don’t lose sight of this particular link!
When the festival begins on April 20, we'll have a calendar of events on this updated thread where you'll find everything you would want to know (in elegant graphics by our volunteer publicist Cailedair Etana) to help you enjoy the festival. You’ll notice, as events “go live,” that some of the non-working links will suddenly transport you where you want to go.
Just to do a short sampling of a few of the upcoming activities, we’ve got the
Bragging Gods at the 4 Corners Bar & Grille: An interactive story that will take you ‘round the ancient world, to meet not only the great liquors and drinks of history, but the gods and goddesses who support them. Knock one back with your favorite divinity (and no, Dionysius is not running the show – this is an Equal Drinking Event). Then, follow your guides to explore more about the art of intoxication throughout our four worlds.
Rock Art tour: Last year, our Rock Art tour really – er – rocked, as it explored history and art painted on caves and desert walls in the Americas and the old world. This year’s tour will be cover far more ground.
Trading Pyramids Pyramids in Egypt and in the Americas have mysteriously vanished! An alternate history look at great structures ‘trading places.’
Of course, there will be quizzes everywhere (mostly on liquid refreshment!), parties everywhere, and decorations everywhere. Keep your eyes out in the next week as "floral graphics" will pop up everywhere, so that you can decorate your domus in tune with the season!
