The Bone Yard. The Leader of the Pack is Red Willow MountainSpirit, Top Dog is Topiltzin Tupac. And the Bone Yard is where the dogs, wolves and other canines go to howl. This new group is for dog lovers of all stripes, where members share photos, discuss breeds, and more.

AW Citizen in the Spotlight

Topiltzin
Topiltzin Tupac. Fresh from the hills of Rome, our newest settler in the wilds of the Americas is Topi. He's our freshest scribe, a humorist with a streak of creative genius. He's already made himself at home in the Inn of the Blue Macaw, and he's friendly, helpful, and an asset to the site. One of his main interests is the Aztecs.

Featured Neighborhood

Antisuyu
Antisuyu. Apo Mayta Huacac has been busy in South America. And you thought he was in Spain! Antisuyu was one of the Incan Four Quarters, this is the one adjacent to the Amazonian lowlands. Probably the least has been written on this area of the old Incan Empire, but it was home to forests and the beginnings of jungle. The Hood spotlights trade, warfare, fortresses, and the people of this region, never fully conquered - the Antis.

Springfest Is (Still) Coming!

Four worlds - The Americas, Celtia, Egypt and Rome - are feverishly making plans and asking for help in creating what is hoped to be a blowout festival towards the end of April. Some events will involve intraworld collaboration, and others will be designed within the worlds themselves. There's still room for assistance. Events being planned include, but are not limited to, a "Boasting" scenario between the spirits of the four worlds, a "Trading Spaces" scenario, and a Rock Art Tour.

If you would like to help plan, create, assist, do graphics, or in any way be of service, contact Mangas Cochise or Topi, or leave a note on the Springfest 2006 thread. We'd all welcome your insights and ideas. Check that thread out periodically - something might just nudge you into participating.

ACTA Editor or Reporters Wanted

Assuming you'd like to read something better than Mangas' drivel, or assuming you'd just like to try your hand at reporting - you can volunteer to be a reporter from The Americas for the ACTA, doing piece material, or better yet, you can volunteer to take over the editorship from Mangas and run this page the way you'd like. To sweeten the deal, Mangas will provide you with unlimited virtual cupsful of cacao, pulque, or any beverage of your choice. Think of it this way: You get to help out on the site you love.

News in the World

A pre-historic milling site was unearthed in Azusa, California, by the edge of the Angeles National Forest, and reported on March 3rd. This 8,000 year old site consists of arrowheads, some large. There are also hearths and stone slabs once used to grind seeds and acorns, shedding light on how people lived back then. No bones were discovered at this site.

The March 13th edition of Time Magazine contains an article speculating and discussing the first arrivals to The Americas, The Untold Saga of Early Man in America. Evidence is growing that the first Americans were here a lot earlier than many believed even a decade ago.
