Flowers of May
It's me, again. I know you're all getting tired of hearing from me. Okay, I'll try to keep it short. [Ed note from Laurels: yeah, right, Sank!]
So, what's been happening since we spoke last? Springfest came and went. This, of course, was our last Springfest. Woo hoo! (No, Heraklia, that wasn't me. I think it was that guy over there with the lampshade still on his head.) But never fear, every world has plans for local festivals throughout the year and, of course, we'll be celebrating Ancientworlds' official birthday from now on with a sitewide Goldfest in the fall. But that's months away. Right now, the summer is nearly upon us. So, it's time for the summer blockbusters ... movies that is.
Okay, so we don't have
movies at Ancientworlds ... yet. But what we
do have are videos. Live action, real people-behind-the-avatars videos. Several worlds are starting to broadcast their news using multi-media podcasts. Now ... I have to take a minute here to say that print is NOT dead! As an editor of the ACTA, I can assure our reading public that these ... upstarts!! ... shall not prevail! We shall overcome!! WHAT?
Oh.
Laurels says we're in favor of podcasts. Well, in that case ... you can find them in Rome, The Americas, Hellas ... and I hear rumors of new ones coming soon in several other worlds. (*rumor central here*). Looks like the media is here to stay. I may be out of a job soon....
