EUREKA! YOU FOUND IT!
Partially buried in the mud and silt in the Massalia Harbor, you have discovered a strange-looking piece of wood. One of the two pointed ends appears to be covered with thick plates of bronze. It seems to be a part of a ship, sunk beneath the waves for many years. After examining the Greek trading vessels at the docks, you find they each have a bronze-clad ram, just below the water level. This could be a wicked weapon in close quarters.
Congratulations, you have found your first archaeological artifact. Are you anxious for more? Your next "dig" is the Oppidum of Entremont. It’s not far. Just follow the coastline to the west, until the hills flatten out and a great river runs into the sea. That river is called the Rhône, one of the great rivers of Gaul.
"How do you get to Entremont?" you ask. Well, if it were up to me, I’d try to talk to the owner of that Greek Trader. For a few small coins, he might be willing to take you there. You’d best hurry along, though. I think he’s getting ready to leave.
