A quick description of my introduction to Odin.
The very first Norse god that I ever approached was Odin.
 I had received a wonderful gift of a handmade rune set at Yule 2003 and decided to introduce myself to Him in a small, private midnight ritual. Since then, He has helped me learn about Norse mythology and magic (One aspect of his symbolism in Norse mythology is that of hidden knowledge) and communicates His wisdom through the language of runes. I have only studied the meanings of the runes for a little over a year, and I am beginning to understand more about them from translations of the many Rune Poems. I imagine Odin to look very much like my idol of him in my Library at my Haim. |
