Virtual Valentine's Day Celebrated!

kiss!
Mesopotamia hosted a Virtual Valentine's Day Celebration which began February 13th and continued on through February 15th. Two contests were held for all those with romance in their hearts! *grin* The first contest was a Card Creation contest which involved transforming an image of a plain red heart into a Valentine's card masterpiece. All of the entries were great! The judges had smoke coming out of their ears trying to select the winners. Without further ado, here are the winners of the Virtual Valentine's Card Creation Contest:

First Place - Ashnan Etana's "You Lift My Heart"
Second Place - Faustina Cornelius' "Valentine Be Mine"
Third Place - Caer Volcae's "Love Among the Clouds"
Honorable Mention 1 - Hecate Tullius' "Heart Paperweight"
Honorable Mention 2 - Sankira Qin's "Love"
Funniest - Messalina Terentius' "Our Love will Topple an Empire"

Our second contest consisted of a two-part Trivia Quiz with, of course, the theme being Valentine's Day, love and romance. Ole Caily here must have created a toughie since we had no perfect scores *eg*, but I've gotta say the folks who participated didn't do too shabby. ;)

You can check out the posts for the Card Creation contest here and for the Trivia quiz here. Thanks to all who participated in both contests!! And deep thanks to Bryce Yupanqui, Cornellia Cornelius, Persia Xerxes, and Alerissa Nestor for such sweet assistance! Mesopotamia was tinkled pink to have you all visit us! A gift of roses and chocolate to all you ladies! :)

The Confederacy Expands its Horizons

dogs!
...which may just be a dangerous thing given that these folks are...ahem!...not normal! But you've just got to go check out their new boards: The Pet Shop and Home and Garden. Got a green thumb? Are you a pet-a-holic? Know how to install a new sink? Stop in and join the conversations at the Confederacy of Dunces (don't let the name scare ya!)

Who said bats can't talk?

Kash Bowl Bum
Its just not surprising to this little Kash Bowl Bum, but there's now a freakin' BAT hanging out at the place talking 'bout stills, pyrotechnics, and squirmy things (ugh!). Don't ask Caily about it, cos she's clueless! Just go on down to the Kash Bowl! Watch out for the prone bodies on the floor (like, especially, Apil's) and bring $$ cos the drinks are only free now and then! And keep an eye on that Tiamat chic......she really wants to know about Whatshername! yikes! that might just be TMI!
