Hellas Sources
3rd in series of ACTA articles on persona development.
In last month’s ACTA, I said I was going to write about what to do after you finish researching a new persona this month. I lied. I tried writing about this, but after writing only one paragraph I gave up. Everything I can say about the topic is this:
Don’t use all your historical tidbits in 1 post; pace yourself. Integrate the information naturally and smoothly in your role playing. This is all pretty standard/straight forward, but most of all, it’s obvious! After a bit of brainstorming, I came up with offering more practical help and information. Here is an annotated list of links I’ve come across that might help you in your research. Hopefully in future months I’ll have the opportunity to do similar lists for AWs other worlds.
Avatar Inspiration Sources: Sometimes I get inspired for a new persona after stumbling across the perfect image/painting for an avatar. Here are some links that will hopefully help you get inspired!
Finished Avatar Sources: Some sources for already completed avatars.
Daily Life: If you want to role play that you’re living the life, you need to know what the life was like!
Maps: Gotta know the area in which you live! It’s hard to prosper if you get lost all the time.
I hope these links help you in your persona/character development! These are all just basic, starter links. Feel free to drop me a note if you have any additions to my lists! |
