The News from Mount Olympus

Exciting things are happening in Hellas! We have a new group (please see the Group Spotlight section and featured article by Tanaquil Sergius to the left), new neighborhood boards, and lots of lively discussions happening in various areas.

Top of the news this month is our Annual Sitewide Trivia Contest that took place on October 24, 2004. Last year, our very own Ioannis Nestor won the victory for Hellas. This year, he teamed up with the lovely Desdemona Eurimedon. They brought glory to our region of Ancient Worlds once again, by placing third! Great job you two!!

The Hellenic Neighborhoods

The development of the Hellas neighborhoods is well under way. The addition of these new areas offers a unique opportunity to really participate in the history of a specific region/city/neighborhood.

Discussion boards are being added to each area, and in the near future, you will be able to associate your home with a particular "place" if you so choose. The group boards will also be able to associate with specific places as well. Come join in the fun and get to know your neighbors! The various regions are listed under "Places to Go" in the center of the main Hellas page.

Hellas City Builder

I would like to take this time to give special thanks to all of you who have assisted with the Hellas neighborhoods thus far:

Alerissa Nestor
Anna Hippon
Kallistos Alexandros
Ioannis Nestor
Nikolaos Cleomenes
Heraklia Aelius

Cassiopeia Pericles
Aikaterine Callias
Clytaemnestra Aristophanes
Agrafiotis Artistides
Porcia Porcius

You have all done such fantastic work! From the initial design layout ideas, suggestions, articles, tours, overall themes and graphics, these people have assisted in building Hellas from the ground up. Thank you again for your time and efforts. (The city builder image you see above, will be posted on each of your message boards, in the coming week, as a thank you gift for you to display in your home as you please.) There are more regions yet to be created, so there will be more opportunities to volunteer!
