The Neighborhoods of Germania
A brief look at Germania's newest neighborhoods.
In a widely diverse region such as
Germania, the need for a variety of neighborhoods that served the various peoples represented by
Germania
was of concern for the scribes. Within this one region of
Ancient Worlds, cultures from Anglo-Saxon, Viking and Steppe cultures exist side by side. Integrating all into the world of
Germania, while keeping everyone happy is not an easy task. So it was decided at first to create four regions to serve the populations of
Germania.
Scandinavia, homeland of the Nordic cultures served by Germania is the focal point for personas interested in Viking culture. A variety of cities were researched to provide a large enough selection for as many interests as were possible. Bergen and Birka port cities of Norway, and Sweden, served as jumping off points for many of the Viking expeditions. Brattahlid, Thingvalla, Dublin and Vinland represent the western frontier of the Nordic world. Hedeby, Jarlshof and Jelling serve as examples of Scandinavian culture on all levels. Anglo-Saxon England provides personas interested in Norman and Anglo-Saxon culture with a variety of unique opportunities to satisfy their needs. The scribes have provided this neighborhood with old and culturally rich districts to explore such as Canterbury, London, Tamworth, Winchester Worcester and York . Middangeard represents the heartland of Europe. Here, you will find the districts of Aachen , Antwerp , Belgrade , Carthage , Paris , Ravenna , Rouen , Toletum and Tolosa give the historian access to all aspects of the early Germanic kingdoms of Europe that would become it’s modern nations. Berezany , Grobin , Holmgard and Itil serve as jumping off points for persons interested in the steppe cultures of the Varangian Way . An area rich in tradition, The Varangian Way should wet the appetite of even the experienced explorer. Coming soon is Yggdrasil , which explores the world of Norse myth. Among the cities of this neighborhood you will find Asgard , the home of the Aesir gods, Jotunheim , the land of the giants and much more. Great things are in store for Germania , take the time to visit us today! |
