My Bio by Fabricius Flavius

My Bio by Fabricius Flavius

Well, what can I say about the most perfect specimen of a man like me? I am a child of war. I was conceived and was born in the year 1943 of the current era. I was a very beautiful child with a rosy complexion and reddish blonde hair. My adolescent was spent at the home of my grandfather being raised by my mother and my aunts. I was very spoiled as I was the only child in a family of adults. I started the first grade, (1949), when I was six years old at the Hazel Hurst Pennsylvania Grade School. A four room two story building housing two grades in every room. Hazel Hurst was and is a very small farming community in North Western Pennsylvania. After finishing the eight grade I was moved to the other four room two story building which housed the High School. I think there were twelve people in my class talk about crowded! LOL I graduated in 1960 and joined the army. Believe it or not in those days young men from my area actually joined the army to get it over with so they could come back to civilian life and start a family and get a good job.

For the first 4 years of my military career I was stationed in Baumholder Germany in a tank battalion. I think they were the worst years of my life and military career. Being in a peace time army at that time had to be the worst job on earth. With no war to fight all there was to do for the nco's and officers was to harass the troops to satisfy their over inflated egos. In the latter part of 1965 I was shipped state side to Fort Sill Oklahoma to an infantry battalion. Life was good there and I stayed there until I volunteered for the Nam. Yes, I volunteered I went for the fight! I was reassigned to the 1st Cavalry Division,(Airmoble). 1/9th Air cavalry regiment, D Troop, (the Blues). It was exciting and to tell the truth I was frightened most of the time, but I would do It all over again just for the fight! I made it through the Tet Offensive, many battles large and small. I was awarded the CIB, (Combat Infantry Badge), for my action in battle. Of all the decorations I was awarded I am most proud of the CIB! After seven years of service I discharged out at Fort Lewis Washington. The sun was shining and it was a wonderful day to still be alive! I headed for Fresno California to see my parents and family. They had sold the farm and moved to Fresno while I was in the service. Fresno is very hot in the summer and cold but not too cold in the winter.
I matriculated at Fresno City College and Fresno State University. After leaving University I went to work for The Federal Government. At the end of my government career I was transferred to the IRS as a manager and then as a program analyst. I retired in 2000. Life is Sweet again for this old war horse.
I found Ancient Sites in 1996 when I was surfing the net for roman sites. I joined right then and there and have never looked back. I have always kept Fabricius Flavius as my main nick. I was very active in Ancient Sites being a member of the SenatusRomane and other groups. After Ancient Sites left us I found Ancient Worlds by being notified by my friend Shannon Mudge, (QC), and have been here ever since. I have always been a Millennium Patron in AS and AW btw. Sorry my ego kicking in! LOL
Building properties and groups is my specialty. The Regia and The missing Link are two examples. After working very hard I volunteered to work on the official Rome projects. Within a couple of years I was nominated to be a Scribe. I made it in November 2008. I like being a Scribe, helping people, and working on events and celebrations. It has been a very long ride!
