ACTA DIURNA

Goodbye Egypt, Helllloooooo Americas!

As will be mentioned later on in the ACTA, the Scribal changeover happened early November. My scribedom began way before that.

I started my Egyptian scribal duties just before the last Springfest. Yep, some of you may remember it some may not. Still, it was one festival I won't forget in a hurry. Talk about a baptism of fire! I had some coding skills under my belt which kinda helped.

Getting to know Egypt and it's hoods was a little confusing at first but once I started having a look at them and getting to know how the hoods were set up, it became so much easier. Just another hurdle of being a scribe. *G*

When it came to 'hang up' the scribedom in Egypt, it felt kinda weird. Still does. Probably coz there is still so much of Egypt in me and some things that I still wanted to do. Now that's in the hands of others. Whether they take up those ideas or choose ideas of their own, will be up to them.

Now suddenly I'm in the Americas. Wow! Talk about culture shock! I must admit I don't know much about the Americas but there are new ideas, new things to do and new places to learn about and research. The scribes have been very welcoming (even though I've worked with both before *G*) and also the people too.

Change is sometimes hard to cope with but we will get through it. I'm sure that in a couple of months when we settle in (including the other 'new' scribes in the other worlds), we will be able to get on with being a united community and having fun. Isn't that what AW is all about?
