Short bio on the rl me *g*

Who is Attila? You may have asked yourself.
Here is this bloke that came out of nowhere and was made a scribe after only four months in AW? How odd!
Well, yes and no.
I have been around since June/July of 1997, although under a much, much deferent name of course. In fact there have been quite a few since then, some may say.
They do have one thing in common however; none of them are Germanic, which is odd.
Most of you know me as a Greek.

Well "The Hun" as I am known now, first found his fascination for the real-life Attila when he was only a five year old wee lass...ehm, bloke.
I found my father’s biography of Attila, King of the Huns and started reading it but did not understand much so I forced my dad to read it to me.
And so my love for history began.

It only grew stronger when a relative of mine took me to a dig he was working in and I was allowed to sit, with a tiny brush in my tiny hands, and dig for what seemed like an entire day.
It was then that I decided to become an archaeologist.

For some reason however, I took a detour in my plans and studied journalism and photography before archaeology, history and philosophy. It occurred to me that as an archaeologist I would, hopefully, be published and that journalism would come in handy as well as photography.
And so they did.

There was a short time, while studying journalism that I was convinced that I would prefer to live my life as a war correspondent, as I greatly admire Marguerite Higgins, Peter Arnett and Jurate Kazickas.
An injury and long term illness came however in the way of my plans or I would probably be spending my days in Iraq or Congo right now, or some other war plagued part of the world.

But for now, I am content in working on my second masters and concentrating on getting my work published, crossing fingers.
My main interest now, I have found, is medieval law in which I would like to specialise and spend my days researching.
I also teach part time.

The past six months I have spent at home, working on my very last and very large thesis about medieval law, yes folks I AM that fascinating. I keep my nose firmly stuck to a law book these days.

My leisure, of which there is a substantial amount, I spend doing volunteer work for Unicef and helping children on quite a few projects.
This was a surprising turn of events, even for me, but one that I find has given me more than I could ever give or mean to anyone I have ever helped.

As for my personal life, well that is none of your business, so don’t ask *lol*
No, seriously, I’m happy being single and I also have no children and sorry to disappoint you folks but no pets either.

That is pretty much it for "The Hun" and if you have any question by all means ask, I can however not promise that I will answer them all *g*
