um its me

Once upon a time in Kashmir, an incredibly beautiful child was born to a Jello magnate. Coming to age in opulent Jello-funded splendor, the young woman was promised in marriage to a son of the powerful Pudding King, Juba. But the Juba family didn't know the terrible secret Lara hid, a secret that would turn the jello-pudding empire upside down.. and it all began with the discovery of a wart on Lara's back in the shape of a squirrel.

oh wait. Wrong story.

Well the real story is somewhat more melodramatic. Lara (i'll continue with the third person narrative shall I?) was active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps and didn't have much time for "that internet thing" but somehow found her way onto Ancient Sites after doing a search for "ancient greece warfare". Why she did that search she's not sure.

She found the place interesting right away and wanted to build her home but there wasn't really time.

A year went by and she got out of the Marines after completing an 8 year stint. Now having the free time, she jumped back in with gusto, decorating her "roman villa" and creating web pages and learning HTML in only 2 weeks!

Lara found this utterly addictive.

Soon she had a handfull of fun net friends she'd hop into the chat room with, code into the wee hours of the morning, create ugly plaques for people to use as banners, and her husband had to call her by her persona name just to get some notice!

After the demise of Ancient Sites, Lara hopped offline and moved to the middle east for job reasons. After two years in Bahrain, Lara found AS had been revived into Ancient Worlds and from the instant she rediscovered the site has been completely & irrevocably hooked. Having found true friends in Arachne's Web, her interest in graphic arts and coding for the online world increased tenfold and with the help of many talented, patient friends her skills slowly increased (if not social skills *L*) She has even travelled to far away countries to meet up with fellow AW'ers and has finally dropped her militant side and instead embraced her fascination and love of all things ancient.

The Orient, particularly imperial China and ancient India, are among her strongest loves but not the only ones. You might find her flitting about in Rome or Egypt when not in Orient mode!

Also, she is not adverse to bribery by rubber ducky.
