Help your GM pick a new AW Screen Name!!
I\'m changing my screen name in September. My patronship will expire and I want something more historically accurate I\'ve decided. So far, I\'ve had two people say I must stay a Caesar. So be it. Now...I have registered a few names, unsure each time which I want to keep. So for your good judement I propose the following candidates, to be added to and taken from as my opinion flaps to and fro like the wind: 1) Caivs Ivlivs, simple and traditionally Roman, though not as easy on the English-reading eye as \"Gaius Julius,\" but that has already been taken alas; 2) Divus OR Divvs, the first is more Anglicized, the second more Latinate; both, when coupled with Caesar would mean \"Divine Caesar,\" of course the only problem with these is that only Caesar is divine :) not little old me; 3) Iulis, after the legendary founder of the Julian clan; 4) Faustus, non-historical, but an upbeat naming meaning fortunate or lucky, not that I am, I just like the sound of it; 5) Gaius_Julius, now this one I was initially thrilled with, the classic tria nomina of a great Roman, the only problem is the ugly under_score in the middle; 6) G Julius, a decent variant of Caesar\'s name, but inevitably I will be known around AW as \"G\" or something stupid like that, soI really don\'t know. I am having trouble deciding so please help me, folks! These are roughly in the order of my preference, but only ROUGHLY. Help me, please! I had some non-Julius Caesar candidates, but, in the end, come on! I gotta be THE Caesar, right? Who else is going to represent him? Only I could do him justice. Amen. Leave your comments here... by: Quintus Julius Caesar
By the way....
Rissi told me I should use the PIP players for my own purposes like this, so blame it on her please. ~ Quintus Julius Caesar
Thanks QJC
Ya know, I helped you in confidence and you snitch me out. The last time I do you any favors. : P ~ Arissima Lucretius
Some additional potential names.
*Gaius Julius Caesar Sextus_Julius Caesar Sextus Iulius Caesar I really like the first, because it is Caesar's name, and additionally the little asterisk that I put there to make the name unique to AW, I have decided, represents Caesar's Comet. The one that passed overhead when he died. :) Very cool. ~ Quintus Julius Caesar
Another Name
Ok, Ive managed to figure out a way to get the perfect name for me. But, it is one of two choices: A) Gaius Julius Caesar or B) Caius Julius Caesar What shall I be? ~ Quintus Julius Caesar
C or G as if the Romans knew the difference
Whichever you prefer, just given the star and everything, would you mind if we all just called you Divus Julius for short. :-))))) ~ Lepidina Domitius |
