board titles
Description of the first three functions in the board:
Zilath: in Etruscan City States, a Zilath was the head magistrate of the city. This office could be compared with that of the Consul or Praetor in Rome. In this group, the Leaders are called Zilath.
Purthne: this is also the name of an Etruscan magistrate in a City State. What exactly his function as a magistrate was, is not yet known. In this group, the Editors are called Purthne.
Nets'vis: this is an Etruscan priest, who studies the entrails (mostly livers) of sacrificial animals (such as sheep and goats) and tries to read the will of the divine powers out of them. His religious advice in political matters was highly esteemed by the Etruscans and also later on, by the Romans. In this group, the Authors are called Netsvis.
Maru: this is the name of a type of magistrate in the Etruscan world. Nothing is really certain about the function of this magistrate, but he seems to have been quite important. In our group, the Maru has the function of the voter.He/She welcomes new members, helps out newbies and keeps an overviewing eye on all boards and threads.
S'purnals: The word S'pur means 'City' in Etruscan, so a s'purnal is 'one of the city', i.e. citizen. The last s in the word refers to the plural: citizens. S'purnals is the name of the members of ETRVRIA.
Hus'iur: This word means 'children' in Etruscan. It is the name of the readers in ETRVRIA, who can only read, not comment, write or have any other functions in ETRVRIA.
