The two faces of Ishtar is a good vs evil roleplay set in the ancient near east.
The basic storyline is that in ages past a great evil took over the land but was defeated by a great warrior. The evil itself, in human form on earth, was trapped by magic and sealed within two golden masks. Both masks were then hidden apart with a warning to what they contained enscribed on them and a spell to call upon the Goddess of Light to defeat the magic. However, before burial, those who supported evil had managed to inscribe a seond message within the first detailing how to release the evil. Should it be released then darkness would fall and death would strike the people.
The masks cannot be destroyed by human hands and both bear the image of Ishtar upon them. Should the masks be translated then the sorcerer/ess would be consumed by darkness and Ereshkigal would be summoned.
The evil sorceress will be played by ShTarra Meritamen who's very good at being evil so I'm informed! Her sidekick will be Vareil Etana although she has room for many more of you if you'd like to be on the side of all things dark.
My own character is on the side of good and I hope to pick up a nice set of sidekicks of my own as I journey through the land in search of the second golden mask. I hope to find it before ShTarra and outwit her evil plans. If you'd like to be on my side, then I'm looking for quirky characters and people who like a fight for I'm sure we'll have plenty of those enroute.
