"Conscript Fathers, the Senatus Consultum Ultimum is passed. As such, the Tribunician Veto is suspended until the Consuls have declared the Emergency over. Additionally, The Lex Aemilia Cornelia Fiscus Frugalitas is passed as well. Let this send a clear message to our lack-luster college of Tribunes. The Senate will not be manipulated by the will of individuals. You do not represent the will of the People and this catastrophe makes that even more apparent to this body. We will now hear debate on the future of the office of Tribune. Should the Tribune's Veto carry the weight it once did? What political devices can be created to keep the Veto in check?"
