I. The Aethiopians on the road are to hold and fortify their position.
II. The rest of the army (IVth legion, half the Aethiopians, the Pergamese) is to attack Aspendus. 2000 LI will be kept back as a reserve, if the Seleucid field army returns we will turn and meet them, but we should be able to overrun the city quickly, then march and defeat the field army. We are to attack Aspendus at dawn, and try to maintain surprise until we attack.
III. Aspendus will be pillaged and razed.
IV. The 500 "Myra" cavalry will return to Perge. Both legions are to be in the city, with 1000 men detached (and fortified) in the harbor.
V. I, Scaurus, am with the Aspendus forces (IVth legion) with my HQ. We have a decent supply train but the heavy siege equipment is at Perge; it should not be needed to attack Aspendus.
