Taking a look at Plebeius ingenuus, it shows that a Plebeian at this stage can be at the highest, a person handling 5 fasces. But knowing Gallia Narbonensis, it is a senatorial province which has a Proconsular position which is combined in tradition as the Vicarius of Narbonensis (8 Fasces). BUT, we do have some other fantastic positions all the way up to Fasces 5. For example: the governors of Alpes Cottiae, Alpes Maritimae, Alpes Poenninae, Aquitania, Germania Superior, and Germania Inferior. As a governor of any of those, you would also be in charge of the local military such as auxiliaries or legions unless the Vicarius of that region needs them. If you don't want to be a legatus Augusti (military governor) of any of those spots, we can find you a city to be curialis (mayor) of. As a legatus Augusti, you would have to create a provincial webpage by a certain time.
