Hibernica you've really done it this time, he thought. His Praetor was so angered, that he evidently wrote Hibernica's brother to put Magister T on retainer in order for repeated throwing in case Hibernica made any more mistakes. Best start getting back on track, and Auricomus might change is mind then. He sent out the corrected Praetorial Decree:
To the People of Sicilia, Praetor Auricomus issues the following decree:
That the provincial taxes are remitted as of Aprilis, and will be paid out of the praetor's own purse for the remainder of the year DLXIX.
That the next praetor shall institute the normal tax rate in DLXX, or continue at his expense the further remission of taxes which I have ordered.
May Sicilia and her people prosper, and the gods protect them from harm....
ADDENDUM: The previous decree given was the result of a numerical error made by Quaestor Gaius Curius Hibernica. Quaestor Hibernica states that Praetor Auricomus had played no role in this mistake nor had any knowledge whatsoever of this error, and Hibernica takes full responsibility for this mistake and unreservedly apologises to the entire population of Sicilia for this error.
