Librarian of the Month
- Pachons will soon be here! The Golden Stylus is Officially Open
At the start of Pachons, our very first Golden Stylus winner will be announced. Since we have two new Reference Librarians, this award will not be limited to the Chiefs. All Librarians qualify. For more details, visit The Golden Stylus ~ Librarian of the Month in the Library's Main Entry.

A question if I may? The questionnaire is to go to just one Librarian?

- When and Where?
Does the first day of every month sound good?
I could send out the questionnaire on the third week of every month. That would give the highlighted Chief one week to send back the answers, and a week for me to render his/her award.
On the first day of each month, the awards and Bios could be published somewhere in the Library... probably in the Main Entry, on a thread of its own, or here, in the Announcements area. Which do you all prefer? And does that timing work for you?

I support your idea of presenting an award for outstanding work by the Chief Librarians. An award won is an endorsement and an encouragement that might urge on the Chief Librarians to continue outstanding postings within our Great Library of Alexandria.
The Golden Stylus wins my vote for the naming of the award.

I am in favour of your "Chief Librarian Of The Month Award". Not only will the award highlight the efforts of the Chief Librarian honoured, but will also draw attention to the material that they have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to present here. ;)

How about calling Chief Librarian Month Award the Golden Papyrus.
Since Manuscripts was written on papyrus plants, this kind of ancient writing material was made famous by Egyptians.
We are the Greatest Library in Egypt with a hard working staff, writing on present day writing material.Well I like the idea!!

The Alexandria Library shall highlight one Chief Librarian each month, in recognition of his/her accomplishments. Those recognized will receive a customized graphic, in honor of their hard work and outstanding contributions. They will also be asked to fill out a small questionnaire, detailing their interest in their subject/section.
The results will be posted with their awards.
I would like some member and Librarian input here. Please, come forward. What should we call this award... The Golden Stylus? Do you like the idea or not?
